About Next Energy

Next Energy was formally part of the Enersave Group of companies, born out of their vast experience in helping keep Kiwi homes warm since 1996. In 2007 Next Energy was set up as a separate company, with the aim of providing New Zealanders with an affordable Geothermal solution ideally suited to the unique New Zealand environment.

…I had initially written geothermal off as I thought it was going to be too expensive but Next Energy were competitive; the difference between geothermal and other more conventional heating wasn't that bad. And when you look to the longer term it makes sense.

Experience – growing number of reference sites

Next Energy specialises in Geothermal and Air to Water heating and was the first to introduce affordable Geothermal to the NZ market. Next Energy has a growing number of installations throughout the South Island.

I chose to use Next Energy for a number of reasons; their particular geothermal system is from France and has been extensively used in Europe; they're a Canterbury-based company and they had already successfully installed the systems in Central Otago.

Established Company – rely on a supplier that's here to stay

Next Energy is part of the kiwi-owned, Enersave Group, established in 1996 and a leading supplier of heating solutions. Enersave's primary goal is energy efficiency and they apply this simple ethos across the board. Well respected, Enersave Products are one of the most widely specified by NZ designers and architects. Enersave have a hard-earned reputation in supplying innovative yet functional products that meet the long term needs of the market. Having the backing of this major player in heating solutions enables Next Energy and its customers to benefit from exceptional knowledge and experience.

It's also reassuring to know they are backed by an established company like Enersave and that their geothermal solution has been well developed and proven in Europe.

Superior Products – be assured of future proofing peace of mind

Next Energy's heating solutions have been sourced with the NZ environment in mind. Unlike competitor products, Next Energy's solutions require a markedly different installation method which reduces costs and increases performance. Developed by AVENIR ÉNERGIE, France, (a member of the DANFOSS group); these unique products have been internationally tested and proven to operate effectively even in harsh European winters. All additional components – controls, manifolds and pumps have been selected for their energy efficiency, contributing to a high performing superior product.

Service Focus

Consultation is a key aspect of Next Energy's service. System Designers provide a free design service and review client's plans to determine heating and hot water needs. At this stage Designers also provide advice on insulation and other important aspects calculated to save energy and ultimately reduce costs. This consultative approach and attention to detail further sets Next Energy apart from competitors.

Next Energy was very project specific, they tuned into the house design which gave me confidence and I particularly liked the way they acted as 'heating consultants' giving advice and ideas as part of their engagement.
