Next Energy Geothermal Systems
Next Energy’s renewable heating solutions include a range of Next Energy Geothermal Systems which capture the natural energy in the ground or water. In Canterbury even if it’s -5°C outside half a metre down the ground can still be warm at +10°C. Geothermal heating, also known as Ground Source Heating or Geoexchange taps this latent low temperature heat using a network of captors buried near your property and unlike solar power and solar hot water keeps working irrespective of the weather.
A Ground Source Heat Pump (GSHP) or Geothermal Heat Pump then converts this huge amount of low temperature heat into a small amount of higher temperature heat which can be used for domestic hot water or to heat your entire home, via a network of embedded infloor heating tubes or radiators.
